The upgraded Defiler has made its presence known in tournaments. And since many of my clients are tournaments players, it did not take long before I had some to paint. These ones rocking the Thousand Sons colors.

These were painted in a day, as they were released on one Saturday and had to be played at a tournament the coming Friday. But I rarely turn down the chance to paint new models, even on a tight deadline. The technique is similar to the one I used on this Thousand Sons army.

Two things of note about these Defilers:

• The arm weapons are all push fit, and the chest guns only require a small pin to hold in place and change. The close combat arm is not in those, I only realized it was a weapon option later.
• The bases came in so crooked that they wobble. With the deadline, we did not have time to replace them, so I left them very bare and barely glued on the Defilers on them so they could be swapped later.
