Mortarion is a massive model that looks great, even at battle-ready level. This one was all about getting him on the table fast while still keeping that grim, oppressive Death Guard feel.

One trick I like to use for battle ready miniatures is keeping the models dark overall and have one bright accent color to make the miniature pop. The goal here wasn’t perfection up close, but a model that looks like a centerpiece and coherent with the rest of the army.
