The Biologus Putrifier is one of the most iconic support pieces in a Death Guard army. Loaded with corrupted alchemical brews, he stalks the battlefield handing out toxins, plague vials, and all sorts of foul enhancements to nearby Plague Marines.

This one is painted in Horus Heresy Death Guard Colors. I changed the backpack to a more classic one. This keeps some of the Horus Heresy feel, while still having plenty of stains and mutations, and chunkier 40K style. Also heavy weathering, for good measure.

I like the drab and weathered color of the model clashing with the glossy and wet looking sores, and the bright vials and syringes on the Biologus Putrifier. Makes for a very striking miniature very easily.

This model was one I did for myself, but eventually became the basis for a full army. I love it when clients say: “I want something like that one” on a mini I had fun painting.
