The Commission Process
Here’s how the whole miniature painting commission process usually works. It’s not rocket science, don’t worry.
- Contact: Fill out the form below with your project details.
- Quote: I’ll get back to you with pricing, estimated timeline, and any follow-up questions.
- Approval & Deposit: Once the details have been ironed out, I’ll secure your spot with a deposit.
- Painting: I paint your models. I’ll also send you work-in-progress shots and updates as the project goes.
- Final Approval: I send you pictures of your completed models, then they will be packed safely for shipping or pickup.
- Delivery: You receive your minis. Life is great, you love them, and tell all your friends about it.

Timelines & Deadlines

Typical turnaround times are 2 weeks after I start on the project. I usually have a few projects in the queue, so I may not always be available to start your project as soon as you book.
A lot of my customers are tournament players, and I am very used to deadlines and can usually work around them easily, as long as it’s agreed upon beforehand.
I rarely book more than 3 months in advance. If I have a lot of projects going on, I will put you on a waitlist and contact you once the backlog clears a little.
Pricing

Each project is unique to some extent, but here are some general guidelines about pricing:
- Assembly and magnetization are quite time-consuming. This costs more than people usually expect.
- Some models and schemes are cheaper to paint with the models partly assembled to specific requirements.
- Projects with loose guidelines and schemes (i.e. that I choose how to paint them) cost less than very strict schemes.
- I don’t have dedicated tiers of painting. The only tier I paint at is called “this shit looks dope”. If you like quick and simple schemes to save money, I can do that. If you want a box art style look, I can also do that.
- I very rarely agree to take on jobs for color matching the work of another painter. When I do, it is pricey.
As unique as they are, I get asked for Imperial and Chaos Knights a lot. Check out this page if you want to get your knights painted.
To give you a price point, Infantry models start at $10, Heroes start at $50, Small Imperial Knights at $80, and Big Imperial Knights at $175.

Large jobs usually come with a discount because I can save time with batching.
Exact pricing will be provided after reviewing your project details and what you want. It’s worth giving details on the quality and/or style you want to get a more accurate quote.
Request a Quote
Use the form below to tell me about your project. In the text box, please include the model names, quantities, any specific color palette/shceme you are looking for, and any deadlines if you have them.
The more details you include, the more accurate your quote will be.
If your project is very open-ended, this is even better, and usually cheaper. “Imma let you do you’re thing, just don’t paint my Ultramarines pink” is a very valid request.

FAQ
How do I ship my models?
I’ll provide packing instructions and guidelines once we lock in the project. Another option, if you are also commissioning the assembly, is to have the models shipped directly to me from your local game store of choice. You can also drop off your models in person if you’re local to Québec City.
Please note that damaged models during shipping might incur extra costs to fix, depending on the amount and extent of the damage.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, I require a non-refundable deposit to lock your project in. I take a deposit of the full assembly costs, and half of the painting cost upfront. The remaining balance is due upon completion. Then I ship the models back, with a ludicrous amount of bubble wrap.
The deposit simply covers the work and time spent on my end if plans change on your end.
What payment methods do you accept?
I take payments by e-transfer, or I can send you a PayPal invoice (which you can pay with a credit card). If you are delivering or picking up your project, I also take cash… ideally in a serious looking briefcase, or a brown bag with a large dollar sign on it, for bonus style points.
