Since this project’s only request was “Whatever you like, as long as they are Ultramarines” I decided to make them in a more box-art style. It’s very different than the ones I have for my own collection, and it’s a style I don’t do that often.

Every proper Ultramarines collection starts with the main man himself, Roboute Guilliman. I went with a green sword to match with the army.
Just in case you don’t want a Primarch to run the army, go for the next best thing, the chapter master. Marneus Calgar in Armour of Antilochus, in this case.

Also in this collection are most of the staple space marine heroes. Techmarine, Jump Pack Captain, and, shockingly, only one lieutenant.
First time I got to paint some Heavy Intercessors. I’m sure it’s been discussed before, I never noticed how much Starcraft Terrans they looked.

To round out the infantry of the first batch are units of Infiltrators, Bladeguard Veterans and Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs.
Another model I had never got around to paint were the Firestrike Servo-Turrets. Even though it is a newer kit, it really feels like a staple. How did they not have gun turrets before?

To round out the army, a duo of Redemptor and an Invictor Tactical Warsuit. I know the Warsuit is not a proper dreadnought, but it paints like one, wo were bundling it in with the dreads.
If you are looking to get your Ultramarines (or any other faction’s) army painted, you can reach out through this page. I’d love to take a look at your project!
