A small warband of Slaves to Darkness units and characters I painted for a regular client to complete his rather large chaos collection.

This was a fun project because as much as all models are painted in the same scheme, it’s really more a handful of unique characters. The owner has a rather large Khorne army, but wanted some models to fit with his Archaon.

The Soul Grinder is such a weird model, I’m never quite sure if I like it or if it looks too goofy to be taken seriously. Quite the opposite of the new Daemon Prince sculpt, that they just knocked out of the park. That one’s always a banger, and I painted two of them.

This classic sorcerer is probably my favorite chaos model. It is super evil looking without being bulky. In a completely different vibe is the Gaunt Summoner, which I think came as another set as it’s the only Tzeentch model in the whole collection

Even if this is mostly characters, there are some troops to go with this warband. Not only the staple chaos warriors, but also some Varanguard Knights.

A fun perk of painting Age of Sigmar armies is you often also get to paint some Warhammer Underworlds warbands as well. This just adds some more unique models to the armies.

Last but not least is my favorite part of every Age of Sigmar army project: the endless spells! They are always super thematic and outlandish pieces to paint, and the chaos ones do not dissapoint.
