I am nowhere near playing at a level good enough to be on Canada’s national team. But in 2025, I got to paint 4 of the 8 armies that Canada took to the World Team Championship of 40k.

The timeline for this project was a bit hectic, and so at no point did I have all the models together at the studio. The guys were nice enough to send me this family picture live from the event of all the armies together.

The Death Guard were painted last year, and only needed a new model or two, and a few bits swapped to be fully ready. You can find more pictures of this army here.

The Chaos Knights army was more of a 50/50 spread, where the Knight Lancers were not part of the original army I painted. In fact, the guy on the left was painted to match by François, owner of the army, because it wouldn’t make it in time to my place and back with the tight deadlines. The other Chaos Knights were part of a fully magnetized trio army I painted before.

The Sisters army was all brand new except 2 tanks and a handful of troops on foot. This scheme is one of my favorite I’ve ever done, so I am always ready to paint more of them. Click here for closeups of this army.

Last but not least, more Knight Lancers, but Imperial this time. This army was built start to finish for the World Team Championship. From boxes of unbuilt plastic to fully painted in a week, it was a hustle. But well worth it in my opinion, because this scheme slaps. You can find more pictures of this army here.
Hopefully I can hit the grand slam in 2026 and paint all 8 armies, but that might be a little bit far fetched. Unless…
