Warhammer Underworlds is a quick and easy game, and this is exactly how I painted the two-player starter set.

I’m not a big board game kinda guy. But quick beer and pretzel types of board games, I can get behind. Also, painting only a handful of models is a fun little break between painting large Warhammer armies.

Keeping the palettes straightforward, like the classic Stormcast Eternals color scheme, helps both sides stand apart clearly on the board without having to try too hard.

These are 30 minutes per faction, so it is a result easily achievable by anyone. It really doesn’t take much to make the pieces more interesting than bare plastic.
