Some projects come my way that I absolutely can’t refuse. Like the opportunity to paint a Warlord Titan, one of Warhammer’s largest models, if not the largest.

Look at the size of this thing next to one of everyone’s favorite Space Marine! Because of the size, I made sure it was magnetized to make it slightly easier to transport. The weapon arms and turrets could also easily be swapped.

My main take away from painting the Warlord Titan is that you have to go lightly on the highlights and shadows. Because it is huge, it doesn’t need as much contrast as other miniatures. If you over do it, it ends up looking very much like a cartoonish toy.

Much like Imperial Knights, the Warlord gives you plenty of opportinuty to add heraldry, kill makrs and other little details that give a lot of personality to the otherwise very large empty plates.
