Painting your Space Marine army in a generic color is a great way for avid gamers to keep their collection as futureproof as possible. This is one such army.

Well, part of the army anyway. My friend Jason had long started on this quest of having all black space marines of every chapter before I came along. But as with every other army, reinforcements are needed sometimes!

This is a gaming project first and foremost, and my only task was fitting the existing color scheme, and leaving the bases blank so my friend could swap them out for the same ones he was already using. Sometimes commission projects are about the artistic journey, sometimes they’re about the finished product. This is the latter.

These Eliminators are my favorite part of this project, with the cheater’s digital camo effect on their cloaks.

This project must’ve been around the time that the Phobos Primaris were released, because, why else would there be se many of them?! Also, peep this old school Techmarine, shockingly not that small looking.

While on the subject of old school, some classic pre-primaris treatment Scouts and a now-legended Leviathan Dreadnought. Despite the less artistic approach, this project brings out a lot of one offs and odd units to keep it interesting.

This was taken from the archives, but no doubt there will be pieces added to this. It’s not like Space Marines are ever short on new releases! In the meantime, peep some other (and more colorful) projects here.
