The BBEG of Blackstone Fortress is a Black Legion Chaos Lord names Obsidius Mallex. It looked so good, they now made it the default Chaos Space Marines lord model.

Black Legion, as simple and staple as it may be, is one of my favorite scheme. Black armor, bold gold trims and red capes and clothes just make for very striking models everytime.

This model is mostly made as a gaming piece. Even if it’s the big bad evil guy of the game, keeping the paint job to a tabletop standard does the trick… And you don’t have to get anxious about damages to it when playing with it along beers and pretzels a plenty.

Because this model came out with the Blackstone Fortress board game, I made the base a bit different than the standard Warhammer 40,000 classics. It’s done with an airbrush and an old business card torn in two for sharp edges.
