The Master of Executions is one of my favorite Chaos Space Marines model. It may be available for every legion, but we all know it was meant to be a Night Lords. So that’s how I painted this one.

The bottom cloak is meant to be made out of skin, but with the dark scheme of the mini, I thought it would clash too much. I want the focus to be on a giant bloody axe and the lightning strike on the shoulder pads. Sorry, Buffalo Bill.

The lightning strike is a really cool detail, and very practical when it comes to whole armies. Instead of a very detailed and specific chapter symbol, your Night Lords can just have their own little lightning bolts that you can just make up as you go. Consistency shmonsistency.
