Some point in 2025, the Solar Watch was the new hotness for Adeptus Custodes players, and I got to paint a Telemon Dreadnought for a budding tournament player.

The Solar Watch scheme is really fun, because it looks nothing like other Adeptus Custodes colors. Most of them have some sort of metallic color in the main two tones. Solar Watch? White and blue.

This was a straightforward paint job, stick to the scheme and deliver a battle ready model that is on brand for the Solar Watch. Dark Silver and White is one of my favorite color combo, it works really well all the time.

Because this piece wen to an existing army, I didn’t get to do a base for it, as this client was going to make it match his own. I think the best fit for this scheme is some sort of brown tone, either a very neutral brown or a more desert looking one.
